The LaserEMobility section of the Italian Association of Manufacturing (AITeM) invites you to join the upcoming workshop on July 17 – 18, 2024, in Garching near Munich. Following the success of the 2022 and 2023 editions, the LaserEMobility Workshop 2024 continues to be a place of discussion for an international audience from industry and academia working on laser-based processing in electric vehicle manufacturing. Thanks to the sponsors of the LaserEMobility Workshop 2024, the two-day event is free of charge for all participants. Scientific and industrial abstracts can be submitted for oral and poster presentations. Selected contributions will be invited for submission to a special issue of a scientific journal. Abstracts can be submitted from February 5 to May 6, 2024.
Scientific Program
The next decade will see an increased use of electric vehicles. Laser-based manufacturing methods are key for efficient and high-quality electric vehicle production. The presentations will cover application-oriented topics over the whole field of laser material processing for electromobility, including:
- Battery cell and system manufacturing
- Processing of new battery materials and technologies
- Electric drivetrain manufacturing
- Fuel cell manufacturing
- Lightweight construction

What is the LaserEMobility Workshop?
The LaserEMobility Workshop 2024 remains an important place of exchange for an international audience from industry and academia working on laser-based processing in the field of electric vehicle manufacturing. The two-day event will gather participants from research, laser component manufacturing, system integration, as well as laser application development. In addition to presentations targeting an international technical and scientific audience, the latest technological trends will be presented in an exhibition zone. Furthermore, a guided laboratory tour will offer hands-on insights into academic laser research.
